About RegPing
RegPing is a small regulatory-awareness service: four Discord bots, one engine, and this public archive. It is built and run by one person in Massachusetts, not a company with a sales team.
What it is
A wire. It polls 24 primary regulator sources every thirty minutes, writes a short summary of each new notice, labels its severity, and posts it into Discord with a link to the original. Everything it records is published here so it can be searched, linked to, and checked.
What it is not
It is not a law firm, not a compliance certification, and not a replacement for reading the primary source or for state-mandated systems such as cannabis seed-to-sale tracking. Summaries are written by a language model and are reviewed against the source text by the pipeline's checks, not by a lawyer. When a summary and a notice disagree, the notice is right.
Principles
- Primary sources only. Regulator feeds, APIs and listing pages. No news scraping, no newsletters, with one flagged exception: a law-firm privacy blog used as an aggregator for multi-state attorney-general actions, labeled "Various" in the wire.
- Link, don't paraphrase away. Every alert links to the notice it came from.
- Say it's machine-written. Every embed and every page says so, and says it is not legal advice.
- Minimal permissions. The bots can post in the channel you pick and answer slash commands. They hold no gateway connection and cannot read your server's messages.
- Flat, per-server pricing. No seats, no contracts, no upsell calls.
